hello all! hit a pidgeon yesterday! mullard the front bumper! lol! not havin much luck this wk,me gti still wont rev threw the gears still, ive changed the fuel filter, air filters, maf,throttle switch,flywheel sensor,thermostat coolant sensor,the sensor in the air intake pipe and still no luck, would the crank sensor cause this problem? is it diagnostic machine time!! cheers pykey!

 

coil pack? plugs? leads?

 

Coilpack, leads have been changed, I don't know about the plugs!
Its got me stumped!

 

HELLO MATE, THIS CAR IS WORKIN ON MY TITS NOW... IT WONT REV WHEN YOU PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN,GETS WORSE WHEN IT GETS HOT, IS IT TERMINAL????? THE PLUGS AND LEADS WERE CHANGED ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO, THE CRANK SENSOR HAS BIN CHANGED, ALL THE AIRFLOW SENSORS,COULD IT BE THE FUEL PUMP? THE REGULATOR ON THE INJECTION SIDE? ANY IDEAS ANYONE? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Injectors?

 

ive done about roughly 6 to 7000 miles on the leads and plugs,ive got a spair second hand set of injectors that my mate got me so i mite just swop them over, ive just checked the vacuum pump pipes and there r no leaks,thers a black box behind the o/s headlight with a lead goin to it,does anyone no wot it does?????????

 

Might just be a supressor of some sorts. I'd swap the injectors mate, if they're clogged on damaged then it will cause you all sorts of driveability problems as will poor spray patterns.

 

the exhaust had to be changed for the mot as the baffles had blocked the exhaust nearly completly up,its just passed its mot with the exhaust and a spring had snapped,would that cause any damage to the engine????

No problems mate, its worth a try swapping them, sounds like you've checked just about everything else! My names steve if you hadn't guessed

 

the bird you hit swapped the leads round?

 

ha ha!!!!! i hit it at 90 so there were wasnt alot left of the birdie!!!

 

tryed the injectors and it aint cured the problem. cannot figure it out for the life of me!!!must be the wiring some where?????????????????????

Lol, I was going to suggest, did you replace both coolant temp sensors?

Theres the one comes straight out the top of the thermostat housing, and the one that comes out the bottom at a 45° angle...
