Default DIY Rollcage? Pics people?

Right my car is currently off the road as i’m doing bits for its mot, atm i don’t have enough doh to splash out on an OMP bolt in roll cage...

As i have to hire a welder to do some bits for the mot i thought id tackle a roll cage myself as you can only try

How hard is this? Does anyone have any dimensions i could use?

Also what size steel is best etc etc?

I’m up for giving ANYTHING ago so no pessimist answers please loll

Can you also post a few Pics of your roll cages in a Mark3 fiesta for ideas?

thanks matty

i would say mate your best buying 1,cos the trouble in makeing 1 is a lot of work, plus the metal wont be that cheap and youl need a pipe bender,to do the angles, think you can buy 1 for around 350,

hope this helps

im with them aswell just due to the fact it will be very hard without propper hydraulic pipe bending equipment. also people that weld cages tend to be coded welders as they weldes have been tested (not saying your a crap welder as i dont know) but if you were to have a crash and the cage break it may do your more harm than good if it were to erm...... how can i say it..... stick in you?

its not only difficult, its also dangerous if you don't know what you're doing! in a crash, your weld/pipe could split and go straight through you/your passengers. better safe than sorry!
