Boost Increase on T34 turbo

Default Boost Increase on T34 turbo

How do i do this? There are approx 16 threads left on the wastegate arm and the guage shows 20psi. Do i reduce the amount of threads or increase them and by how many?

Its a 4wd Sapphire Cosworth 1993 Stage 3

you reduce them by winding the rod clockwise. i would set it to about 26 psi peak holding 21 at the top end. i would go two turns on the arm to start with. But disclaimer time you realy need your fueling checked after doing this..

longer is less....shorter is more...but who set up/chipped it.........u need to know what the chip will do

as above but make sure you get your fuelling checked, what chip are you running?

My chip is set up to run 32 psi but i cant get anymore than 29 psi on a brand new -34

Yep Pete is right you need to adjust the amal valve jets to get more, not sure if the hole needs to go bigger or smaller though...

No jet in the one from filter to valve,or the one from actuator to valve.

try putting a jet in on the one that goes from amal valve to actuator this will increase the boost...

..think u'll be better off speaking to ur tuner and they'll recommend/sell u some jets to try....(they are different sizes and i think these things should be sent out with any home set up)

Thanks for the replies- will leave it i think to a garage. When I bought the car the boost was turned down and its developed a misfire. Thought this might be due to the car being chipped previously aligned with the higher boost and now its chucking too much fuel in. Its a Bighayu chip.

in my case, i have boost but holding one, i have new -31 and amal valve

perhaps i should play with jets
