Default Feista Gearbox Bearings

Hi guys my fiesta was making a wurring noise which STOPPED when i pressed the clutch in but you could hear it when the clutch wasn't pressed i took it to a mechanic & he said the gearbox bearings needed doing so i've just had them done & was wondering if they should still be making the same noise the mechanic said they'd sound loud for another 1000 miles or so any help?

Sounds like you have been had.

I would have said clutch release bearing is the noise, not gearbox (assuming he means input shaft bearing).

And no, something will not make a noise after being fixed if the problem was a noise in the 1st place.
