Default Cosworth Injectors

I have a set of light blue injectors which seem to work very well and the dyno printout is a very strong and healthy 385bhp, not that i listen to anyone regarding my setup, but one question keeps repeating itself and that is "why are you not using greys?" other than using greys for 400+ which i dont think i will be doing unless i kill the engine, i take it these light blues are ok upto 400bhp? my engine was built and dynoed by Harvey 2 years ago and has only covered 2000 miles, so what are these blues like as i dont hear much about them and not seen many used in other peoples spec's.

light blues should be ok for around 400bhp

siemens blacks are a newer injector, so if you are going to change them go for Siemens instead, the spray pattern is better and they are less aggresive than bosch injectors

Better spray pattern, less agressive!!
The reason why they are used is because they do not need a fitting kit unlike greys etc, no one, tuners included have offered any evidence of their superiority, despite thier superior price, though I would love to see some direct comparisons with BOSCH VERSUS SIEMENS.

Tabetha read this https://passionford.com/forum/showth...hlight=siemens

Will at M Developments says they are less aggresive and has a better spay pattern and from other posts on here lots of people are going for Siemens Blacks

Im sticking with the ones i have for now, but alot of people who have looked at my car say they are no good for the setup and i cant acheive 385bhp using light blues, find it strange but there you go, but i will look into these 83lb siemens black injectors but i like what i know and that is greys for big horse's.

mechanic28- what sort of power are you running with your blues then m8

Thats why i ask about these injectors, it was a proffesional build by Harvey Gibb and thats what he used and produced what was asked which is 385bhp, but you know what its like when people think they know more than the experts lol

I am still waiting to see EVIDENCE as opposed to OPINIONS of people who just happen to sell them.
These tuners really need to back it up if trying to sell them instead of established ones.

...........i'm on light blues.....(standard head/cams)..mapped buy Ahmed and my car pisses 400bhp on the rollers and at less boost than it makes on the road...(ahmed says its a real 380 though)......all i can say is........if u like ur car then dont change tuner or injector.........every body on here says how good this n that is but cant prove WHY................siemens are a better spray pattern (so easier to map).....but u get the same results.....(apart from idol.......so).............i will never doubt any tuner....but i'll never kiss there arse either...................

i had the light blues in a previous cossy and then went to greys, they both performed well but i would say if you dont want more power dont change them. the spec of the light blues are an in between of greens and greys if you google bosch injectors you can find the supply rates of them.

The apparent lack of idle quality is one I have heard before,(some) aftermarket ecu's overcome this by having ignition tweaking constantly to maintain a smooth idle.
