im building a mk2 fiesta track car out of a 1.1 im going to use a 1.6 cvh engine but stick with the 4speed box to save messing around i wanted to know what flywhee clutch and release bearing to use and weatha to use the thin spacer that goes between the box and engine and finally what engine mount to use??any help would be great saves messing around tryna get things to work!!cheers

 

the shell should be the same as any other mk2 fiesta as far as im aware so you should be able to use a normal fiesta xr2 engine mount.
would stick the 5 speed box in thoughas swapping that and the gearlinkage is less hassle as you can use the original xr2 clutch and release bearing and know 100% it will work as it should. the thing spacer is merely a debri guard to stop crap getting into the flywheel.

 

the only difference that i no of is that the body is different on the ns on the lesser models so you have to attack it with a ginder to get the 5speed box to fit which isnt the end of the world would just rather not if i can reuse the 4speed

 

my mate has just done this, straight swap as far as im aware, i helped him with most of it but no major problems.
