Default Mondeo Cruise Control - Retro Fitting

Is it possible to retro fit cruise control to a Mk2 Mondeo LX 2.0 16v?
I understand that they were fitted from factory to the V6 ghia x model, but does anyone know if the 2.0 16v engines ever had it as an option?

I understand that if it's compatable with the engine, I will need the steering wheel with switches, airbag & connections; clutch & brake pedal switches; speed sensor; speed control unit & actuator and possibly the wiring if its not already present.

Any advice would be great.

Cheers.

Look on the ford mondeo owners club(FMOC), this is covered via a link to another well known site but can't remember the name of it.
