Default Manifold studs

Hello fellas,
Can anyone offer advice on removing manifold studs which have snapped off. Its a 2WD cossie. From what i can see its happened to 3 or 4 of them and part of the stud is still protruding out of the block.
Are they difficult to get out. Is it easy enough to remove the turbo ect to get access?
Thanks,
Muffster.

turbo aint that hard to get off fella the bolts that hold the turbo to the manifold can be a bit fiddly,i seem to remember 2 or 3 of the nuts on the exhaust manifold are abit of a bitch to get too!as long as there is still some stud showing the studs should come out ok!just use a stud remover

If the studs have snapped because thenuts were seized on, then they must be well happy in the head so will be a royal pain to get out.
The main problem is the softness of the head compared with the metal stud, you would be better trying to get some heat around the stud to loosen it a bit first, otherwise it may be a head off job.

Thanks fellas.
i think some of the studs have broken because the turbo damper has deteriorated over the years (just got a new damper kit) i understand this is a fairly common problem. Im hoping the remaining parts of the stud will come out with a bit of heat.
Cheers.
