Damaged head, can it be repaired?
Ok I have a 2.0 zetec head (Silver top) And a previous owner has managed to knacker it. It looks like spark plug or valve have come in to contact with the Piston and head even tho they are mint so must have been replaced (thats if it was a valve or plug).
Its knackered the Piston but i'm not bothered about that as its getting an over bore and new pistons.
lucky its not trashed the valve/seat, its hit the area shown in the pic, What options do i have? or is the head scrap or can that area be ported? its just inside the Fire ring so if it was to be ported out all it would do is Lower comp ratio and Increase displacement. The dinks are only about 2mm at very most so not that much alloy would need to be removed. Would this work or it be easier to find a new head.

If its just a bog standard head then just go to the scrappers and get a replacement.
