Default escort mk5 rev counter

just changed my dials in my escort for a set with a rev counter just wondered how i wire it up so it works?

what engine you got? plugged one into my 1.4 and it worked, wiring was there for it.

its a 1.4 cvh mate wires looked like they where their at the dash end but not sure where it goes on the engine end?

you should just plug it in and it should work , mine did! mine was a 1.4 cvh mk5 well used to be a 1.4

As said no doubt all the same loom so will already be there, just plug and play.

is it carb or sfi you will have a green wire on you loom plug on the bulk head this then would go to a suppressor on the nearside wing just near the strut top out of the suppressor comes a red and green wire this is connected to the eidis and thus runs your tacho or you could of course splice into the wire were it come out of the loom plug on the clocks (only one green wire so you cant miss it)run a fresh wire to the coil pack and splice it to the red and green wire this will give you a good voltage signal to run your tacho make sure all connections are properly soldered though.
