Default help needed asap................problem NOT solved....

theres a yellow relay behind the dashboard clicking like mad, ive replaced that with another one that i know works and its doing the same thing.

ive got an escos fuel pump aswell if that helps.

the car occasionally starts but wont run for long because of this relay problem, anybody had this problem before or know what it could be?

thanks in advance, Dan

sorry a mk4 xr3i with a 1.8 Zvh turbo fitted.

only had the car 2 weeks, sorted the problem now though, realised that mk4 fuel guages arent as accurate as i thought, it wont run without at least a fiver in the tank, doesnt explain why the relay was clicking so much though, but its running sweet as a nut now

This is driving me crazy! thought i'd sorted the problem but it was trying to cut out on me on the way home from my gf's, had driven it normally all the way, not even brought it on boost, (ive noticed theres no point in this weather)

i had to change down all the way into first as it was trying to cut out like there was no petrol but ive got just under half a tank........... after about half a mile it sorted itself out and got me home but i dont dare take it out, i dont want to get stuck nor do i want to damage anything in the process.

somebody please help, nobody will look at it until after boxing day and i need it to get about in during the xmas period.

im new to this sort of car scene having not owned a turbo before so i dont know much about these engines or common problems.

thanks in advance, Dan. if anybody needs engine bay pics or anything i'll add upon request.
