Ok.
Fuse No 1, 25 amp - Heated rear screen, heated door mirrors.
Relay is located next to the battery in a compartment of additional fuses and is number E, 50 amp.
Have you checked the terminals connected to the rear screen???

if it is the same as a mk4 where the wire goes through a grommet(?) between body and tailgate, it is most likely a snapped wire inside the area around the body.
Have done a few of these on mk4's, but later ones used a pin+plate arangement between body and tailgate.
Check for power at the rear screen with a SEPERATE earth on the tester, then check for earth at the screen point itself.
Does your alternator light work ok ?, as these are used on a lot of fords to energise the windings in the realys so you can't put it on without engine running so you don't flatten battery, they could still light up, just not actually power up without engine running.

Bugger did not see the electric mirror bit, if these are not working as well you need to check for a power supply at the fuse terminal first, then if no supply follow it back.
