Default Turbo Technics cvh turbo conversion??

I have found a TT kit on ebay, its only missing the boost pipes.

No.1 Are they boost pipe essencial or could i make some up on the pipe bender or with hose?

No.2 Could i make this kit work with my twin 40 dcnf's if i was to fabricate a air box of some description?

Thanks rob

cant see why not, but tbh you dont need the kit if your going to fabricate your own carb box and boost pipes why not just buy a frst/erst manifold & turbo and pipe it up to your carbs.

The TT kits demand a premium due to the name and nature of component. If you have different carbs and can make boost pipes then as I say DIY it with a cvh turbo manifold and turbo running low boost (same as TT would run)

Cheers

Personally i would just whack an rs turbo engine in, if you want a turbo set up.

Cant see why you would want to stay on carbs?

If you wanted to keep the twin 40's then i'd use the RST exhast manifold, turbo & intercooler.

If you wanted to sell the twin 40's and buy a normal TT compatible carb it'd pay for itself

Or bite the bullet and do a full rst conversion (fuel tank, pump, management etc... etc...)

If you want ease then i'd sell the twin 40's you have and but the TT kit and source a carb the TT kit was designed for...make up a boost pipe and your sorted.
