Default Turbo Timers -HHHHHEEEELLLPPPPP!!!!!

having a head scratching session on how to wire up me turbo timer

i no it needs to be inline where the ignition connects to the loom

but what wires are what

on the timer i have a Red = 12v
Yellow = Ignition key on 12v
Blue = ACC 12v

there the main ones and the other 2 i can sort hard brake switch and earth

but of the above 3 what wires go to what on the ignition loom?????

red to red and yellow to black you shouldnt need the blue one connecting. on rs turbo i presume?

youve got 2 x ignition wires. 1st that switches stuff on like stereo n stuff then 2nd that brings ignition lights on and switches engine on and off. so you only need the on connecting that controlls the engine. on some cars the engine wont run without them both being connected thats all. hope that helps!

there should also be one for the handbrake as well
connects inline with the normal handbrake switch wire

nope lol

do u have to connect it in line like cut the wires to the ignition and connect it in between????????

i tried soldering it to the black box and as soon as i turned the ignition off the timer went off with it,

dunno weather that blue should be connected then

what colour wires have you got at the ignition switch? have you def connected the handbrake wire up properly? maybe just stick it to earth to make sure.

yellow
black with blue stripe
black

dose it have to be in line????????????

you have to connect the handbrake or it wont work.

yes in line i thought youd connected the handbrake? it sneeds to be or the timer will think someones taken the handbrake off to nick the car n switched the engine off! just stick it to earth to try it

my mates have had them before and never needed the hand brake, my handbrake light it temperamental sometimes works some times dont

you didnt with the older ones mate but do with the new ones so if its less than say 2 1/2 yrs old youl need to connect it!

ha ha yer i was doin yellow yellow lol,

give up on it now it fucked a fuel pump relay so i just disconnected it lol
