You dont need any special tools really mate the only tools you need are some good sockets and spaners the only tools you may need if you aint got them are some torque bits like these click here i cant remember if the bottom balljoint on the mk5 is held in by a torque bolt
so maybe worth checking before you go and buy a set.

it would be easier with a big torque bar as them nuts are tight and a spanner dont remember size either they are you main tools to use. i tried with a socket set and a spanner and it would not budge til i got a big breaker bar on it only took 20mins a side then. and the torx bit for ball joint

The ball joint bolt is a torx bit. When ive fitted these arms before ive replaced the nut and bolts to. They are easy enough to do. Im sure the bolts that hold the arms on are 15mm and the nuts are a 18mm but i could be wrong. The way ive done the arms before is to remove the 2 bolts that bolt the arms to the sub frames and swing the arms round with the all joint bolt Removed and then hit them with a hammer to remove the arm from the hub. Then when refitting use a philips screw driver to line the holes up for the new bolts.

iirc it's only 3 bolts pretty straight forward
