well mine have only coverd around 3000miles..and they are still in very good nik, but just give a shit ride..could be down to the 'groove' or 'pattern' as the patter is shet
Or it could be down to the fact that a LOT of numpties put bigger wheels and tyres on the car and never bother setting the geometry up, so that the car handles all over the place. They then blame the wheels / tyres, when a simple geometry set up (NOT setting the car to parrallel!!!!), would cure it .
dam u mike..il take that into consederation when i put my 17's on

Plenty of tread still on the tyres

Unless the ride height is dramatically different all round? The grub screws can come undone and the collars unwind...
Ride height is as close to standard as i can get it as far as im aware.
Get a tape measure out and check to make sure it is even all round (as in side to side). A small amount of difference won't matter, but if it is drastic, then it won't help if the geometry was set with them all even, and then it has dropped - the geometry will then be all over the place again.

If you have noticed a worsening effect since having it first adjusted, then something will be amiss .
Will check the height as soon as i can get chance.
I take it its ok for it to sit higher at the back as thats how they sat from factory?

Cheers very much for all your help people

Yes, it should sit higher at the back, it's just side to side (but this would have to have a huge disparity for it to do what you're saying).

Personally, I suspect you haveworn bushes or the tracking is out again due to bashing something or a nut coming undone.

Also check that the bearing mounts for the dampers haven't collapsed, as these can cause the same problems.

this is interesting, becuase my fiesta does this with 195/s all round of 15's,

any way i can get rid of this? new wishbones next on the list, its loward 40odd mm,

the old boys skyline does this quitebad to, but the tuner dialed in the coilovers for track settings, and its got 275 tyres all round

Check your tracking first and report back with settings.

On the subject of settings but straying off topic a bit, there's an interesting write-up by Andy Dawson in "Track And Race Cars" mag ( the old CCC ) this month on caster and camber. Never knew the V8 Supercars ran so much caster ( 20 degrees apparently ) - you must really have to wrestle them into corners!
