Yes, it should sit higher at the back, it's just side to side (but this would have to have a huge disparity for it to do what you're saying).

Personally, I suspect you haveworn bushes or the tracking is out again due to bashing something or a nut coming undone.

Also check that the bearing mounts for the dampers haven't collapsed, as these can cause the same problems.
