Default Prob with cabriolet hood

I've got an escort mk3 se cabriolet had it for a while but ain't driven it for a while, one of the biggest prob is the hood won't shut properly.

The people who had it before me had a power hood installed for it. Basically the hood is about 7 - 8mm short of shutting tight on the top of the windscreen. It won't leak but just annoying that it won't shut all the way. I've been told there is a way of adjusting how far the hood shuts but have read the haynes manual and still don't understand it.

Has anyone else had this problem and whats the best way to fix it??

Thanks

Sy

Hi On the hood where the handles are to lock it down there are 2 hooks that hook into the top of the screen. If you undo the lil nut on the hook you can tighten or loosen the hooks so when you lock it down it closes properly.

I can pull the hood so it is locked but i can't seem to have the hood far enough forward if you get what i mean the hood still has a gap of about 3 - 4mm after i've pulled the hooks in i was just wondering is there anyway of making it come more forward before hooking the handles in.

Cheers
