hi i think you need c.locking and de handleing will fail mot but c.locking is easy to put in and you will need a a device that un locks c.locking and you just move the bar for the lock over to where the handle one goes so it will pop the door open..hope that helps

you must retain door handles!!!! you wont get to open them unless they are spring loaded-(spring open when you unlocked them) apart from the m.o.t thing.

It depends on what your doors are like as to how much they will open with the solenoid kit. I did this to my Mk1 Fiesta (very light doors) 10 years ago and it worked really well - looked good when operating in a car park!

I just wired it up to the wire in the alarm which normally operates the central locking, easy. This means you can do away with your door locks altogether as there will be no handles to get in. I never had any problems with the mot man but you could do what TVRs' have and put a button on the underside of the wing mirror if the MOT man is arsey.

Hope this gives you some food for thought.

The door seal will push your door open enough to grab it, doesn't need to be spring loaded

I did mine with 2 MK3 Fiesta boot openers, 2 relays and 2 switches under the mirrors.

And cos jon is right, the seal will push it open just past the latch.

That looks like a very good kit actually, i personally wouldnt use the spring loaded bits until you see if it will open under seal tension.

Also you dont need your central locking anymore because now when you want to lock it, all you are doing is removing power to the switches under the mirrors via the keyfob.

not too sure about that kit but when i did mine i had an aftermarket fusebox connected to the battery and took the power from that but you will need relays becuase the switch won't be able to cope with the power of the solenoids.

anyway if you pm me i'll give you my number and you can call me if you prefer
