Hi,

Im looking to put a 2.0 16V Zetec Engine into my mk 4.
The engine im looking at doesnt come with gearbox.
Its been a while since i looked into engine mod/transplants so not sure whats required, but does the zetec match up with/cant be easily adapted to fit the RST gearbox?

The car has been stored off the rd for the past 5 yrs and i now have the time to turn it into a full prepared track car for non-competitive fun use, so im going for something reliable (ie non-turbo).

I'm sure the rs turbo box bolts straight up but you will need a 1.8 zetec sump / dipstick tube / water pump and flywheel

don't take it as gospel though as i haven't even started doing my mk3 XR3i engine swap yet , hopefully someone with more experience will confirm this for you

hi, i was wondering if any body knows what wires need splicing on the zetec engine/ecu loom in order to fit the engine in my mk4 cabby.

Thought there would be minor mods but as long as the actual RS gearbox can be used then im happy and can get this engine

yeah it will just bolt straight on to ur RS box, u just need 2 modify ur engine mount.
