The boot lock is unique to the cabriolet, a normal escort one may fit or it may not, ive not tried so can't give you a definite answer.
Also the glovebox lock is only found on cabriolet models.
As per usual ive got a couple of spares sets but not something im willing to let go of at this precise moment in time
- how soon are you looking to get a set?

Heheh! I always thaught they were a bit more secure, the barrel type key locks fitted to the mk4. My mk3's locks are pretty much worthless! I once baught one of those cheap aftermarket petrol caps to replace mine and the key for that opened my door locks! Quite convenient really, I use it as a spare!
The diamond key locks are rubbish man! You can lock any lock with ANY key and most of the time you can use any old worn key to open them aswell.
then theres the fact they are prone to wear, and the petrol cap ALWAYS spins the key inside its plastic so you end up with a key stuck in your petrol cap and an empty tank on the forecourt
Sure the mk4 locks do fit though, the doors are all the same.

Ah, I guess they just look like they are a bit more secure!
The only mk4 Escort lock I don't like are the early ones that use the jagged key that shreds your pockets! Don't see them very often though!
I'm pretty sure mk4 door locks don't fit, I wouldn't bet my life on it but a while ago I remember I tried to put mk4 locks in my mk3 and the shape of the hole was slightly different IIRC, it was a while ago though..... next time i'm down the scrappy i'll have a look and find out for sure

Those locks you mention were only on very early Mk4's and were used for probably about a year. The pegs were prone to snap off the key aswell, more than likely changed for obviouos reasons.
If you look on ebay theres some aftermarket locks that a company produced to replace the diamond locks because they weren't very secure
I've not tried fitting an earlier lock myself, but i know if you go to Ford and manage to get a Mk3 door its actually a mk4 door with an adaptor plate so you can fit the mk3 interior door handle, and everything else is a direct fit
