turbo not boosting
ok small problem. just fitted my t4 turbo and all new reinforced hoses. just took it for a short test drive and there was no boost, the turbo was hardly spooling.
not had time to give it a good checking over but i did quickly check all the hoses were on properly and nice and secure.
im gonna have a good look at it in the morning now but i just thought i would put up a little post to see if anyone had any odvious solutions before i get annoyed tomorrow.
as it is a brand new turbo from turbo technics with actuator. would it be setup to go straight away??????
probably something i have missed because i was rushing as my wife was nagging at me to come in the house and look after the little one.

When i got my T4 from turbo tecnics it was only set to a standard rs500 setting i think around 10 psi iirc and that felt like it didnt work untill it was wound up to 36 psi by a mapper in blackpool

ive never driven a car with a t4 but as tabetha said, a turbo of that size
i wouldnt expect to come onto boost till 4000rpm+
may even have a faulty actuator that letting the wastegate open
and bleeding of exhaust gases before she spools.
its not recommended but take the vacum line of the actuator go for a thrash an see if it spools up, but keep an eye on ya boost gauge at the sametime.
