erst Oil Feed help

Default erst Oil Feed help

Hi All
I have s2 turbo lump which i brought second hand and have only tried it tonight. I've took the oil feed off the turbo, Now If i turn the engine over should oil come flying out of the oil feed pipe to the turbo? i haven't if so what would be the problem?

Unlikely at cranking speed, might get a dribble.

Try to at least get some oil in there first, OR get someone to hold the trim wheel(induction) for 20 seconds or so when started.

Being completely honest with you mate the few seconds it takes for oil to reach the turbo isn't going to kill it........its a wet floating bearing after all its hardly precision machined bearing units.

As long as you are sure there is nothing wrong with the engine/oil pump crank it over for a good 30 secs or so and then start it up, it will be fine.

Oil should come through the hose after a few seconds cranking. When I rebuilt mine a few weeks ago it took about 30-45 seconds of cranking but then it started pouring out...
