Default swapping engine

i own a wreg escort van and the engine in it is the 1.8 non turbo diesle enduro engine, and i need to fit a new gearbox, but can buy a complete n reg mark 6 turbo diesle escort cheap and wanted to know if it will be a straight swap.

Also what would i do about the ford imobiliser as i think this runs of the dielse pump ?

Default ford coded keys

does anyone know how i sort the imobiliser out when engines are changed as the imobiliser is fitted to the diesle pump and that would mean i would have to use the keys from the doner car as im not chaging the diesle pump over.
I spoke to ford and they said its a straight engine swap but said i would have to take it to my local ford to have the keys re set but im sure there is an easyer way can any one help need my van for my mobile work next week

i think fords are right mate, we had the same problem with our works van, its easier if you are dropping a non turbo engine in as you can just change the pumps over.

reguarding the immobiliser .u just have to break off the anti tamper seal on the stop switch on the pump, ther should b 2 wires onit just cut them and put a live to one wire and earth to the other wire going to the switch .thatl letb the engine run without the immobiliser ,u cud wire it up to an ignition feed so that when u switch off the van the engine will stop as normal ,hope this helps mate

went to start van and it started fine, before i changed the water today went to start it and the red light in the dash just carrys on flashing, as it would if the van was locked, and does not start, any ideas i did have it recoreded at ford when i changed engines, need to use van for work tomorrow and in the other post it mentioned about running a live but there is three wires not two?
