abs issue escort cossie
Hi all
I have got a problem with the abs, just as i come to a halt the abs starts to pulse in the pedal, everything seems to work ok but there is obviously a problem.
I had a saffie that did the same thing but i just lived with it so never fixed it.
if anyone can shed any light on this please let me know it would be much apreciated
Thanks: bart

Ive got the same fault on my saff cossie. Since ive changed the osf hub n hub carrier my abs has been like this ever since ive checked the resistance on the osf abs sensor,ok ive cleaned all the grease n crap off the abs ring on the driveshaft. Its still the same some people have advised me 2 check the air gap between the sensor n the abs sensor but i will have 2 strip the suspension down n check. If u find out before me let me know.

Yeh ur right fella ive been told it cud b all sorts that is causing the fault. A family member had a hyundi coupe which had a similar fault n that was a cracked pick ur ring on the drive shaft causing the brake pedal 2 pulse on ur foot when braking slowly. Changed the cv joint n it was sorted.
hi, I had exactly this on an esc cossie, and a lexus... pull the sensor out, and clean up the metal that the bolt goes through, as this is where the sensor earths.. you need a good contact between the sensor and the hub, so a good rough up with some emery cloth on the sensor and the hub should sort it out...
