Default not very tech but still need help??

cabriolet is suffering really badly from condenstation in the boot , so bad in fact its soking my carpet !! n e ideas ??

probably a leak, thats causing the soaking, thats causing the condensation!!!

rear light cluster are a pain in the erse.

i used a tube of silicone on mine and it worked perfectly. i also use some silica beads to absorb the moisture.

had same prob in my s2 was leak around rear lights check all terminals for corrosion as it causes your lights to do all sorts of weird things when you brake etc

lights working fine but i recon ur right the problem lays there , one of em tends to fill with water

so u saying silicon sealant would work?

Had a similar problem with my Sapph, get some sealant from halfords. Best get automotive grade stuff as it withstands oil, grease, fuel, higher temperatures, etc... than your average bathroom silicone. Also it comes in black which is handy.

I had the same problem with my cabby, it turned out my arieal was letting it in, so its worth looking at that, (i ended up replacing it all toghter)

EXACTLY WHAT I HAD ON MINE, JUST GET THE SEALER OUT, USE ALL WEATHER SILICON, AND GO ALL AROUND THE TOP OF THE LIGHTS.

take the back lights out replace with new gaskits and a very little smear of gaskit sealant will do you a good un,i had this on my s2,took me ages to find it as well
