Wheels studs and spacers
Ive just re fitted the front brakes on my car as the person who had fitted them before i got the car had fitted them so the wheels would fit and the calipers where way out.Now ive re fitted them with the proper spacing im wanting to keep the wheels i have but will have to use 6mm spacers so the wheels will clear the caliper. The wheels now fit but i am worried the the studs are not long enough should i fit longer studs or will they be ok??? The hubs are sierra cosworth 4x4 with 310mm discs and 2wd 4 pot calipers.
I remember some wheel person once telling me when i was fitting bigger alloys and needed spacers that the biggest reccomended space on a standard stud was 5mm , that was for my Mk4 Ford Escort XR3i , going onto 16" wheels
