Default 1.4CVH EFi Cylinder head rebuild probs :(

Hey there, recently rebuilt cylinder head in my escort 1.4CVH EFi engine. Having problems with eratic idling. This is my first engine rebuild and am completly stumped. Had it off 3 times now trying to get it sorted but everytime it runs the same. When it runs idle its calm then gives a burst of gas every second or so as if the things about to stall. Ne help would be great.

Cheers

air leak from the inlet manifold or something? I was worried that there was a leak from the head gasket so it was getting poor compression? Would that cause it?

Cheers again!

I think you're wasting your time keep taking the head off, the problem is more than likely a lot simpler than that

As said look for air leaks and also give your ISCV a clean, they go sitcky and dont work properly
