Default help needed or advice oil and petrol mixing together (cossie

hi people looking for some advice i have a cossie on a stage 3 (greens ,-31 actuator, 3 bar map sensor ,motorsport chip etc
problems started recently when i had the head gasket done got it back and all was fine .

then after a week i noticed oil had started to gunk up as if headgasket had gone again ,no signs of overheating ,smoking etc ,but this time i noticed the oil stunk of petrol . im stuck for ideas now and need some help i was told that it could be a leaky injector flooding the bore causing it to be pushed straight down the side of the piston and into the sump .
checked injectors and they seem ok no seepage ,nice spray pattern etc

oh and forgot to mention it has a sard adjustable fuel regulator on it which i have no idea how it is adjusted thought it may have been this but cant see why it would have been tampered with to do the head gasket though

as it stands now it still runs fine but as soon as i put fresh oil in within two mins of running oil has been contaminated again
desperately need help before i get the gypsy hammer out and fix the car permenantly lol
thx in advance
oh have also checked the cts sensor plug which is ok and the map sensor (no leaks or splits etc)

from firts thought it sounds to be a head gasket, but the petrol in the oil is really confusing, is there any other way petrol id able to get into the oil?

also it could be seeping somewhere into the head then leaking into the sump. anything is possible.

main problem is, if i cant see the car its hard to tell. can you possibly put some pics of it on here?
mabye i could help from there on.

sorry for not beign able to give much help at the moment.

but dont rule out the piston rings either, if they are completely shagged the injectors could be spraying small amounts of fuel down into the sump on each stroke, easy way to check if it is piston rings is that the car would be lower on compression for the missfunctioning cylinders and you will be able to hear a slight air leak if you take the dipstick out or mabye feel it.

is the car down on power or fine?

yup the only way for petrol to enter the sump is blow by pass the piston rings, do a comp test and see if theres any loss in compression indicating
worn rings. i would get it sorted before going driving very far.

fuel will get past the piston rings anyway even when they're new.
fuel in the oil is caused by massive overfuelling normally caused by a failed ecu coolant temp sensor or possibly map sensor

changed the head, injectors plugs leads and fuel rail. no longer have petrol in the oil but its not running properly. Do seem to have an overfuelling problem. Have also changed the map sensor but where do I find the ecu coolant temp sensor. What does it look like?????
Cheers
Dave

I think it's the blue one on the inlet side of the head behind the dipstick.

Matt Lewis does new ones at a good price. He has an ebay shop.

My cossie was doing this so i changed the engine coolant temp sensor but it still carried on . Took the ecu plug off and took some multi meter readings and found that there was a problem with the wiring to it. I then stripped the wiring on the plug to the sensor back and found that one of the wires was broke. Re-joined it and she runs sweet now

Check the wiring for the injectors where the loom goes throught the bulk head, mine was like this and the grommet had come out and wiring rubbed through and was earthing no 4 injector out so was causing massive overfuelling.

Found I had a broken ATI sensor, changed that but still had a problem. Have put the ECU from a XR2i on it and its running better now. Think the fault is with the ECU. Now need a OFAB one for a turbo. Hopefully that will do the trick as its sounding alot healthier now.

NO ITS NOT DONE THE TRICK!
Got another ECU and its doing the same as the original, but the ECU off an XR2i runs it much better (it ticks over ok) but not right AARRGGH!
Any Ideas

If I disconnect the fuel pump whilst the car is running, the car ticks over and runs nice unless its put under heavy load.

A mate had this (ok it was on an EFI erst)

Everytime he parked up over-night, one of the injectors had a leak...and somehow leaked into the oil, his oil absolutly stank of petrol, it ran lumpy and wouldnt start as normal....he was advised to change the injectors..which he did...problem solved
