Default non starting s2..

bit of a strange one this. started the car yesterday morning to take it out of the spray booth as i've just painted it. it started no prob's. the zorst is off at the mo as it was catching when trying to load onto a trailor. when we went to start it again it just turned over. did'nt even offer to fire up. from what we can see it's getting fuel and a spark. we tried to bump start it but nowt. any idea's folk's??

not a lot to go on there really mate.

Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition on, and does the fuel pump run when you crank the engine over?

yes the pump primes. there seem's to be fuel getting into the metering unit but it's not coming out.

he's had the filter and acumulater off recently when we put it back together it took a while before it started but it fired up. it started first turn of the key the other day then just died when i got it outside.

i'm suspecting that the metering unit has had it.

it's all very well having fuel pressure to the metering unit, but unless the flap is operating you won't get fuel into the engine.

Check that the flap bobs up and down while you crank the engine.
