Default AAAAAGH.......Turbo smoke??!!!!!!!

After starting my cossie this morning, i drove 2 miles upto the traffic lights and i start to get lots of smoke out of the bonnet.

Pulled over and popped the bonnet and found that theres lots of white smoke coming out of the back of the turbo!

My only guess is either the turbo has blown or the manifold/turbo gasket has damaged.............or both

Any advice or suggestions would be great!

Oil will produce white smoke if in the exhaust side of the turbo.

no it will not,...

it will appaear to be white, but if you get someone to drive behind you, they will see it is actually blue.

If you want to get nit picky ?, by your own admission nit will appear to be white, SO MOST PEOPLE WOPULD SAY IT IS WHITE IF THAT IS WHAT THEY SEE, would they NOT ?
tabetha
ps it depends on the temp of the oil as to what colour it produces, films where the car has loads of white smoke coming out the rear is done by piping oil into the rear box, as it is not as hot here it is white, but if you installed a jet engine and did it it would be blue.

You are entitled to your opinion as is everybody else, so yes it could go on forever, the important thing is to offer help to those that ask for it.
Does not matter who is right or wrong as a difference of opinion is beneficial, more things to look for so more chance of someone being right.

the is no gaskets , the only gaskets on the exhaust side are joining the exhaust manifold to the head,...
