Default ERST S2 Rev Limiter??

Does the S2 have a rev limiter?

On a couple of occasions I have hit 7000rpm and it instantly drops off to about 6500rpm then back up again (was concentrating on the road and not the revs )

If it does is this determined by what chip you have fitted?

Cheers!

Not a good idea to hit that limit on hydraulic lifters etc though.

Ive recently re-shelled my rs, and when i did i kept the black ecu that came with the shell, and now it overboosts, could this be why, as its the only thing i didnt swap over??

The rev limmiter is usualy removed by changing one resistor in the black ecu. Most tuners do it ... so sheps you should swap that one too Or you could remove the rev limiter on the one you have

Hmm well ive got two fuel ecu's.
No1 boosted fine but gave me a rev limit of 5.5k
No2 gives me a 7k rev limit, but over boosts like crazy.

Simple enough to sort the 2nd one out, but i actually prefer the 1st one (engines never at high revs, so much less chance of going bang.)
I had it RR'd on the 1st one, and produced 186bhp atf and 234 lb/ft of torque, with just a chip, filter and exhaust, all at under 5.5k
