How to make a high/low boost switch?

I am currently running a bleed valve, which I want to rid of for the amal valve and fit a 2 stage boost switch as it's useless in 1st and 2nd and in the wet.

How do I go about it?

cut the wire that goes to pin 16 on the ECU and rejoin with an inline switch
