Default Changing a Rocker Cover

Hi Guys,

New to all this so.... How easy is it to change a rocker cover (car is 98 GTI 1.8 Zetec) It looks like a case of just unbolting one and bolting the other one on? would this be correct...

If anyone knows how long and how difficult this is please let me know!

Cheers!

David

its simple to do mate. Sometimes it best to change the gasket while your at it aswell which is only a few quid from ford. So yeah, just unbolt your old one,if you got a new gasket take your old one out,put the new gasket on and bolt your new on on to it. Simple job. The gasket is just sits between the rocket cover and the top of the engine

Be carful when removing the spark leads, i snapped my number 4 one off, and had to buy new leads!!

You dont always need a gasket, as the zetec oens are rubber, but might as well being only a couple a quid!
