Default swirl pot advice

i have just fitted a new alloy header tank and swirl pot and would like a piece of advice please. The small hose from the top of the swirl pot back to the header tank, is there supposed to be a continual flow of water back to the tank or is it just a sort of breather pipe. and what is best for cleaning these items to keep them nice and shiny
Thanks very much

Autosol is the best i reckon, you can get it from Halfords etc.. I also get a coninual flow generally after a bit of hard driving..

Ian, Have you got the Pot mounted upside down?? Sounds like you may have as you have a constant flow from the breather spout on the 'What should be the top' of the pot.
