Default how hard is it to chip a xr2i

hi there hopefully some 1 can help ive had my xr2i a while now and wana mod it a bit how hard is it to chip it and what do i have to do cheers

chip is fairly easy to fit, most are just pull out the old and plug in the new, but you will need to get it set up on a rolling raod after.

N/A chips aren't really worth it and for the price offer very small gains, prob only worth doing if the engine has had major other mods, i.e headwork, camsm exhaust and filter etc..

agree with this, my mate had one done on his swift gti, he had cams, head work, filter and exhaused and the chip still only gave him 4bhp extra!

save yourself the Ł200+ and just take the back seats out to cut down on weight, it will give the same performance!

I chipped my XR2i and it transformed the car.
Agreed not much extra power but the throttle response was much better, car ran smoother.
I've still got the chip, it's for the 91 model with the remote idle valve not the earlier one with the idle valve in the air box.
