Default 17"s on a bouncey mk 4??????

i've checked and everywhere says a mk 4 escort, will hold a set of 17"s easy without anything bein done to the archs but....
i have a very very soft suspensioned car, we're talking me 11st can sit on teh boot and lower it by about 2 inchs. and i'm concerned if i start taking corners ar say 50/60 mph i'm goin to rip the shit out of my tyres..... what does everyone else think????

uprate ur suspension mate that way ur 17's will look bigger with the car lower and you will take corners a little more than 50/60 and that cant be a bad thing

When i fitted 17's on my cabby i had to grind the arches to stop them from rubbing, ive got standard shocks just lowering sping at the mo so i would recomend getting koni's or a set of coil overs
hope this helps
