Default Running Problem 4x4 Cossie

Please help this is driving me mad!
My cossie had developed a misfire, found the phase sensor wires had completely disintegrated! Changed the phase sensor (and the rotor arm, as it broke) and now it wont even start. Pulled No.1 plug out and am getting a very weak yellow spark.

Gapped the sensor to .2mm and aimed the rotor arm @ number one with the engine timed up.

Could I have pluged the phase sensor wire on the wrong way round? I put the positive to the red wire....

And when I turn ignition key off (with the plug out) I get a spark??????

Would the ignition amplifier be damaged from the phase sensor wires?

Default cossie starting

Peter lucas, are you still out there??
Ive just read your post on starting problems and ive had the same problem as you, even a broken rotor arm. (not sure about yellow spark)
I was wondering how you have got on with it. Did you manage to get it sorted??
Ive read a few theads about swapping the phase sensor wires around and some seem to contradict the others!!!
I tried it and still no joy, i also changed the CPS.
Im now missing a spark on number 2, dont know why yet. They are new plugs but this one isnt "fouled up " from starting
Anyway let me know how you got on, it couild help with my problems.
Cheers bud.
Muffster.

Check The Plugs Mate A Hairline Crack In The Porcelain Throws The Spark Away And Wont Rev Up

Take Note A Flooded Engine Can Evens Kill New Plugs Disconnect The Pump Earth At The Bottom Of The Boot And Swing Till It Starts Then Reconnect If You Dont Do This The Injectors Will Just Overflood The Car You Can Also Take 1 Plug Out Look Down To See Your Face In Petrol On The Piston Head, Not Good Blow It Dry With Compressor...... Hope This Helps

A Week Spark Can Be Anything From Worn Out Leeds Which Throw The Spark Away To A Faulty Coil And Evens A Poor Earth Connection
