Fitting remote central locking to P reg Fiesta.
Can you help? I'm just about to start a new job at an estate agent and have a few concerns regarding personal safety one of which being that my car does not have central locking. I would like remote central locking and was wondering if it would be worth my time (and money) getting it fitted to my current car (if this can be done) or whether I should just buy a car that already has it? The problem I have with buying a new car is that I have only had my license for a couple of months so my insurance will be quite high.
What would you suggest? Thanks for reading xx
It can be done, any decent car security place can fit a bog standard alarm and all the motors for you, may even save you a few quid on your insurance premium with having thatcham approved device fitted
If you have central locking it can be made remote either with an alarm/immobiliser or as a stand alone one the kits are around £20 from MAPLIN.CO.UK, I bought one three years ago for an astra and still going strong which can easily be wired into alarm, or there are seperate ones that have their own remote key fob just for central locking.
