Default fuel fault can anyone help its driving me mad

i have 1700 td astra L reg the dam thing will not start on me.

here is the problem and what ive done.......

car was standing for 12 months everytime i put a battery on it it would start first time every time........

2 weeks ago i went to start it and it wouldnt fire up so i fitted a new stop solenoid still no joy, i put the old one back in without the rod still nothing would happen, there is no sign of the solenoild working when you turn the key on,,,,,

glow plugs work fine

i have a spare key tried that still no joy,,,,,,

taken fuel pipes of and turned it over to see if any fuel come through nothing its bone dry, but ive notice a leak on the throttle spring,,,,,

I know someone that had one of these, put it in for a cam belt change............3 DAYS LATER!!!!! got it back

They had a fuel problem, turns out the pump had gone lazy, tru putting some pressure into the fuel tank with an air line and a rag, and see if it starts!

Have you tried bleeding it ?, drained the water off the fuel housing drain point ?
Just leave the piston out of the stop solenoid for now just to discount it.
Does it have a bleed plunger ?, is the diapragm in it ok ?

new bleed plunger in it mate

tried bleeding it but as i said there isnt any fuel at all comming through

no i havent drained the water off the fuel housing drain point,,,

it wasnt leaking in the throttle spring before the seal is leaking is it doing
because the pressure is building up in the pump or is the seal knackerd it wasnt doing this before untill i tried to bleed it today
