Mk5 XR3i there is a blue 8 pin multiplug that appears to connect from the main car loom to the engine loom, it has a Red(Pos) & Black(neg) and 6 other wires Blk/Grn, Brn/Grn,cant remember the rest off hand, I've looked thru the wiring diagrmas in the Haynes but cant seem to identify it, I need to know what the wires are connected to so I can cut the connector and lable the wires to sell the loom and also incase I need them when I fit my new loom.

what year loom is it? and for an 1800, 130 yeah?

 

It's a K plate mate and yeah a 130 1800

 

without looking atm mine i think thats either lighting or ignition realted...

i'd forgotten how crap the pre 95 wiring diagrams are

 

I was guessing ignition as it's the connector from the main loom to the engine loom, but lookin at the haynes manual , (as you rightly say it's cack) I cant see it at all.
