Hi ive got a fiesta xr2i 1800 with the bc gearbox in. I will be changing the engine in a bit for a 2l but as the 1800 all ready maxes the box out is there a lower gear ratio one (higher top end) that i can put in .i.e frst? thanks

 

A diesel box may have longer legs, or you could change your 5th gear so you retain the quickness low down, and still have a nice long 5th gear

 

You have lost me - how do you max out a gearbox ?

Speak to these guys - GEARS 01704 535760, they can build you a box with anything you require in it from different gears to final drive ratios.

I run a LSD'd diesel box which has a 3.54 final drive. This is the lowest easily obtainable final drive. I think almost all BC had the lower 5th gear already? Or is there an even lower ratio one?

 

southport code is 01704, ormskirk 01695, They have just done a 'special' track day box for me, handy money as well.
