doing a 2ltr pinto conversion into my mates 1.3 mk2 escort.put the engine onto the 1.3 mounts and it didnt fit so im guessing we need the rs2000.also the sump is hitting the crossmember so do i need a different sump.
can we still use the original 1.3 4spd box

if you've just got the ordinary sump you could cut and shut it by welding etc to fit so it misses the x member or just go and find the parts from a rs2000 doubt it will be for 2morrow thou you will need to get rs2000 mounts and sump and also gearbox as the 1.3 box will not mate up to the 2litre block, you will also have to move the gear stick hole back a bit also, exhaust runs on the other side also and few more things!
