Default nock on front driver side???

right...there was a nock on my front driver side when i accelerated and decelerated, and when i bought the car the guy said it was the wishbone/balljoint/bottom arm. so ive replaced that and it hasent worked. ive asked a few people and someone said something about engine mounts, which i cant see it being cos it only makes the nock when the car is in drive and moving...i.e....if the handbracke is up and i try and move there is no nock. other than the wishbone, what could it be?? cheers people.

by the way its a mk5 escort.
thnx for answering all my questions u lovely lot...ur all ace

it does sound like engine mount/s but if only does it whilst drivin i would have said bottom arm. seein as replacing that hasnt worked have u tried the anti roll bar? sometimes the link bars go which causes a knock or more often the anti roll bar bushes, if u can move it side to side etc then they need replacing anyway, hope it helps.

check 2 c if the engine has alot of movement under load i.e handbrake on and try pulling away, bonnett open so a m8 can tell u how much the engine moves. if more movement is detected pretty sure engine mounts
