Give them all a bit of a wire brush then blow them off after, excessive carbon build up can stop them sparking well.

Gota love the rain

If your timing is 90 degrees out then that can only be having the dizzy leads 1 place out

Was that when you got it running with the dizzy in the middle of adjustment?

Looking at my distributor the bolts should be around here, meaning that yours is way out.

Take a picture like craig B has above.

Time it all up again to TDC and take a picture with the cap off

The above picture is with the timing marks set to 12 o'clock (assume thats TDC)

Thinking about it now, is there 2 ways that the distributor could fit into the end of the cam shaft? As it only fits into the slot. I never took much notice when i put it together.

The distributor will only lock into the cam shaft one way as the slot is off centre.

Pheww, I had the dreadfull thought that mine may be in 180 degrees out. Although it would'nt have been much of a job to correct it.
