Does anyone know if I can run my escort zetec turbo which is running FRST efi managment on a standard XR3i ecu? I know they cant sense boost but Ive bought an OFAC ecu, map sensor and Iduis module and they wont arrive until next tuesday at the earliest. All I want to do is move the car in a small yard at work as my boss wont be happy about pushing it as he is a lazy twat at the best of times. Will it run ok or will damage anything? Im not worried bout it sensing boost etc as it will only be running around tick over so I can drive the car out the garage into the yard in the morning and drive it back in when ive finished work. Thank you in advance for any info

Strippedfez you can expect in the very very near future to have melted pistons, blown head gaskets and possibly lots more.
macturbo, if you only wanting to start the thing up and shift it about then yes it will be fine, i strongly advise NOT taking it down the road to see how fast it is/how high its boosting etc no matter HOW tempted you are

Heavy...i had been told from a couple of folk on oddkidds that they had done the conversion and was ok as long as low boost was run like 4 psi...
I am planning to get the Frst Ecu etc just waitin on one coming up for sale....
Just realised i got a oil leak from crank oil seal so wont be back out for another week at least...
