Hi guys

Recently picked up my 2litre silver top and really want to build a decent spec engine to put into my K reg 1800 2i.

Thing is i havent a clue about what ill need

Tbh the main thing thats getting me atm is what loom to use?As i have the 1800 can i use that loom when going turbo?If i do what ecu do i use?

I know its a lot of questions but believe me thats only a few that i have.

As for the 2litre i have,Its just a bare engine.No 2litre loom or gearbox.Most of what ill need i will presume can be transferred from my donor 2i engine?

Going to use the 2i gearbox and run low boost until i can afford a decent one.

I also have a fiesta turbo inlet and carge carrier so ill want to be using those.

Not sure on turbo size yet.Friends say T3 but ive read loads about 2litre turbos mostly using T34s.My next door neighbour is trying to get me to ditch the turbo and use a supercharger hehe

Any help will be much apprieated.

p.s. Ian H said he will be making me up the adaptor plates for the inlet soon.

hello m8 i had a 2i which i was fittin a turb but had to bin the shell as it was rotten so i put everythin in 1.1 shell as for problem i bought a fiesta turbo loom to run y zetec turb as cant aford these mega squirt what people are using im told the ofab loom is better as you can run more boost .as for you 2ltr alls you need is your sup off your 2iengine and the gearbox

From the 1800 2i ive been told i need the following.

water pump
Pulleys
Oil pick up
Sump
Alternator
Dizzy cap
1.8 dipstick

The FRST OFAB loom is the one im probably going to go for.TBH on ebay you can get a V3 Megasquirt for the same money as a decent ofab with all the sensors.

in time i may use megasquirt or even a cossy loom and ecu but im gona use the ofab until i get my head ecu's looms and turbos cos im new to all this im good with engines but never worked on turbos just cant wait to get the engine and running
