injector problem
found the probable cause to my cossie troubles, took the injector wiring off tonight and getting a constant positive electric feed to no2 pot. all the others are small blips in the meter as the ignition is turned on and off but the no2 one is on constantly right of the scale. could anyone shed some light on why this could be please???????????
There should be permanent 12V to the injectors with the ignition on (from the ECU relay, not the fuel pump relay).
Sounds like either a loom or an ECU issue, but could it be an injector failure ? If you swap the injector wiring on pots 1 and 2, does the problem move with the wiring, or stay with the injector ?
If it was my car, I'd take the loom out and unwrap it and check the condition of the wires (has the insulation cracked?) all the way to the hairbrush, and that the loom hasn't been repaired badly (ie incorrectly) in the past.
Can you try a different ECU ?

Get down to Partco and buy a Bosch 2 pin Noid light. This will plug straight into a standard injector plug (and most other sensor plugs) and will let you know exactly what is going on. It does sound like a wiring issue though.
already put the voltage tester in and its only positive on pot no2, the other 3 are not showing signs of power, if the loom is broken somewhere wont that make the power go away????????????
