Default TPS and ISCV - what's the score

Ok, my 4x4 sapph cos hunts at idle when i rev her up to 3k and let go of throttle, more often than not she stalls.
This is when the engine has warmed up, when cold, all is fine.

I tried to disconnect the ISCV but the engine won't start and stalls if I disconnect it while it's running.
I disconnected the TPS, no more hunting, but idles at 1200 or so.

Can a diagnosis be made from that ?
Is the car safe to drive with TPS disconnected while I find a solution ?

Thanks and have a great week end.

sounds like u need to set the base idle..
the idle speed adjustment screw is on the bottom of the throttle body -
disconnect the idle valve and adjust the idle speed bypass screw so that the engine idles at specified speed - 850-900 rpm.
Reconnect the idle speed valve, the revs shouldn't alter.

So if the revs did change, what would be wrong guys?

the valve may be sticky
the coolant sensor may be faulty, causing a high idle
maybe throttle position sensor adjustment? not certain of this one..

Do not run it without a TPS!!!! You could run it lean and destroy the engine!!!!!

Thanks whitneyd, the idle was just set too low, I raised it and now everything seems ok.

Thanks for the warning.

What you doing in Italy ???
