Can anybody help? I am fitting a yb engine (2wd yb red-top) into a westfield and am trying to bolt it to a 2wd mt 75 gearbox (as this is a really good installation and fits very well). The bell-housing will bolt to the block and the spigot/input shaft locates perfectly into the crank. However I have 2wd cosworth flywheel and clutch that generally looks like it should fit however when I offer up the engine to the box there is something adrift with the clutch operation as there does not seem to be any adjustment. Do i need to fit a 4wd flywheel or more likely do i need a mt75 4wd clutch operation arm and slider sleeve? Any ideas very welcome? ......please......

Pretty sure its the flywheel thats to big m8
Have read about this before, you have to machine flywheel down and fit a 2.0 DOHC sierra ring gear and starter motor
Thats assuming you are using the 2wd MT75 out of a 2.o DOHC sierra?????
Also how do you come off for space for the downpipe to fit past the clutch arm, cause its on the opposite side to the 4x4 MT75 and the 2wd T5 borg warner as used on YB sierras?????

That sounds about right as I couldnt get the box to totally mate up to the engine with the flywheel on it, I had assumed that the bearing slider was fouling the preasure plate...??? So you think I need to machine the flywheel do you.... mmmm might it be easier to fit a T5 box and have to cut my chassis......??? Has anybody got any ideas...

Thats what I was told m8
Apparently not much of a job to machine the flywheel down though, worth finding out before you start cutting chassis
Not sure if you can get a 9 bolt flywheel in pinto size
Might be worth ringing Burtons and asking

As you can se in PF i have converted my 4x4 Cossie with the MT75 box. I just changed the front gearbox housing to the Cosworth housing and everything fits with the clutch and all. 2WD gearbox cradle and prop just bolts on there.

It took me and my friend about 5 hours to remove box, diff, driveshafts. The rest was an easy fit. Looks like standard inside with the right gearstick too! I run around 420-430bhp without problems. These boxes are not so week as many think. I ran 2,2 bar boost and 450 bhp through it but want to be on the safe side. You can see my car in PF October number. Mr Muscle feature.

Did this to my friends sapphy 4years ago when he blew his 2nd front diffenrential and the 4x4box 2nd gear broke. Easy as it sounds, no problem. He had about same power as mr 19" mentioned. 2.4bars 450ish, quite an improvement on highspeed acceleration with 2wd!
